SOTN (Symphony of the Night) is one of the finest games made even though it is around 8years old from the time this review was written.
Yes, the game may not be perfect, but if you are a either a fan of Castlevania games or just appreciate a good adventure, this game is absolutely worth having. Of course the graphics get blown away by what we have here in 2004 but that doesn't take away from the great story-line, gameplay and brilliant music.

This game is easily the best Castlevania game from the 8 bit Nintendo version to PS2's Lament of Innocence and all of the others inbetween in many aspects. Overall it at least makes the top three.
One of the best aspects of the game is its depth. There is so much to explore and hundreds of items to find. There are so many weapons, shields, armors, relics and other items that you could play for weeks and not fully experience everything about this game.
At first I was shocked to hear that a used copy of SOTN was priced at over $30 but I soon re-discovered why and decided it was more than worth it. Any gamer of any age should have a copy of SOTN in their collection.
