Best PS1 game ever, perhaps best game ever, period.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is one of the best, if not the best 2D games ever. The only reason I have kept my PS1 (since I do not have a PS2) is to play this single game. The castle(s) are enormous and the bosses are greatly designed. Although this is not a challenging game, there are portions which can take time to complete. There are numerous weapons and other items, some more rare than others. The sheer complexity and variety can account for hours and hours of gameplay, not to mention the game is a lot of fun. Exploration and discovery are probably the two main reasons that this game is a blast. Hidden rooms and scarcity of certain items make it worth playing several times, from start to finish. This very well may be my favorite game of all time, on any system. I wish more games, especially in this age of 3D, were made similar to this title. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night should be played and enjoyed by all who enjoy video games.
