Although this game is extremely hard, this is one of the best DS games out there.

The Castlevania series was always known for its brutal difficulty since the first one that came out in 1986, and not surprisingly, this game is uber hard. But if you are up for the challenge, you should mind as well get it, its an amazing game.

The main character is a girl named Shanoa, who lost all her memory in an accident. Order of eccelsia is actually the second game to have a female main character in the castlevania series. Her duty is to return the stolen glyphs and return them to her master so the order can finish the ritual. The story is kind of simple, but its surprisingly good. The unexpected plot twist at the middle of the game was pretty interesting. Overall, the storyline in this game is....probably one of the best the series has to offer.

The graphics are kind of like NES style....this game's graphics isn't like battlefield or Call of duty or anything, but they don't really matter here, the gameplay makes up for it. There are cutscenes with character portraits though, and they look pretty awesome. They really make the story better since you can see how the characters feel by looking at them.

The gameplay is what makes the game. This game has many glyphs you can use, and you can also do a combination attack to do a special move by using up hearts. Its really fun using the different types of glyphs in this game, and getting them all isn't that hard. There are some sidequests you can do after you rescue some of the villagers at some point in the game, although they arn't very fun to do. The combat in this game is fun, but also pretty hard. Even if you have experience with some of the other castlevania games, you might still have some trouble with this game. But killing each boss is extremely rewarding. After you completed the game, you can unlock two new different dungeons, but they're not that special. But overall, this game has exellent gameplay.

Overall, this game is worth trying out, atleast once. Don't let the graphics fool you, this game is a fun, rewarding game that you won't regret playing.
