This is a beautiful game that's worth playing, a long due reboot, with lots of challenges, great story and gameplay.

User Rating: 9 | Castlevania: Lords of Shadow PS3
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, the long due reboot to the Castlevania series exceeded my expectations when I first played it. Beautiful graphics and design, great gameplay and story. The music is also amazing and envolving. Mercury Steam managed to achieve what IGA could not, evolve the series. I was one of the few gamers that enjoyed Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness a lot and even though these two games were very underrated and underapreciated (Lament of Innocence was the first try at a reboot of the series) I kept my hopes high and when Lords of Shadow was announced and I saw the footage I was delighted. Now without further adue the review:

Graphics: One of the major strong aspects of this game, this is one of the best looking games you can get on the PS3, some scenarios will make you stare at the TV in awe, though sometimes a few fixed camera angles can be annoying.

Sound/Music: The voice acting is excellent as are the sound effects. The music is very immersive and beautiful. Oscar Araujo is a worthy successor to Michiru Yamane.

Gameplay: People that haven't played the PS2 Castlevanias will definetly compare this game's gameplay to God of War and truthfuly it is very similar so if you enjoyed God of War and the previous Castlevanias you will definetly like this one.

Technical/Difficulty: If you go after the challenges, trophies and try to beat the game on Paladin Difficulty it can be very challenging wich adds a lot of replayability. Another very positive aspect is the loading time. There is no installation, it has very very short load times which from a multiplatform game running directly from the bluray is very impressive.
