Since about half of the games are good, and half of them don't work well, Carnival games is hard to recommend.

User Rating: 5.5 | Carnival Games WII
Presentation (6)- Carnival Games was developed by Global Star Software in 2007. There are over 25 games to play with your friends and family members, and it's up to four players. You can either share the same Wii remote, or use four Wii remotes. Unfortunately, you can only win tickets during single player mode. You can win tickets and trade them in for larger prizes. This is good for anyone who can't win the large prizes right away. The prizes that you win are toys and stuffed animals. Also, there are some super games to be unlocked like Super Hole in One. Basically super games are much more challenging to play and have more obstacles than the regular games.

Graphics (5)- The graphics are nothing spectacular, but they do look passable on the Wii. They could of looked way better and more realistic, but the environments and piers look pretty recognizable. The character models; however, don't look all that great. They don't look all that detailed, and the character's faces are simple and ugly looking. You can't use your Miis in this game, but you have to create the characters that are available in Carnival Games.

Sound - (7) The music sounds a lot like what you hear at an actual carnival. The host, Barker, sounds very annoying sometimes. The music doesn't have much variety, but it sounds decent enough for a game like this.

Game play - (5) These are most of the games that are available in Carnival games. Some of them control well, but several others have abysmal game play and unresponsive controls.

bad games: (11)

super hoops - same problem as Hoops
hole in one - very difficult to win, controls work, but they are not precise with with hitting the club short and long distance
super hole in one - same with Hole in One
ring toss - arm movements are extremely limited, difficult to aim, and movements are never far enough
super ring toss - same as Ring Toss
nerves-o-steel - controls are too sensitive when it hits shock waves
lucky cups - controls are not precise when aiming underhand, and either goes too far or not far enough
day at the races - it's still playable and winnable, but controls are not responsive when you aim and move your cursor around and movement is too slow
super day at the races - same as day at the races
clown splash - but difficult to alternate between shaking for more water and aiming water at clown's nose

Lasting appeal - (5) Since about half of the games are good, and half of them don't work well, Carnival games is hard to recommend to most people. The four player multiplayer mode does bring in some entertainment for some people. Twenty five games are a decent amount.
