If you are buying these games for the story, I'm gonna save you some time by telling you to stop after MW2. All three games are great but MW3 mainly focuses on a great multiplayer with great maps. MW1 and MW2 both have great stories, multiplayer, and mods that make these games so superb, but MW3 takes the cake on multiplayer.
