I expected a challenge, but all I got was disappointment.
First off I want to say that I loved Call of Duty 4 and I was a fan of Modern Warfare 2 as well. And I really looked forward to this game, but I was very disappointed for several reasons.
The Story - (No Spoilers)
It pretty much just ends, and it's not too exciting. There was maybe one point where I was watching a cutscene and though, "Oh, cool." But other than that, there really wasn't much that excited me.

Gameplay -
Complete garbage. Total recycled, repetitive garbage. The entire campaign might as well had been rehashed levels from COD4 and MW2. I'm not going to totally diss this game because the controls in it's core, are good. It's just way too familiar. And nothing really entertaining happens. To me, it just felt like the game developers just wanted the trilogy to end.
The graphics are pretty much the same as Modern Warfare 2.
The problems I came across in the Campaign were annoying deaths, like dying while I was climbing a ladder, or getting shot by a straggler that my teamates decided to let live. The A.I. feels dumbed down and I see them spinning in circles and acting like idiots through out the single player campaign. I also died during the mini-cutscenes like waiting for my character to get in or out of a vehicle, or waiting for a friendly helicopter or AC130 to blow up an area so I could move up.
The checkpoints were also pretty annoying.
The guns are a mix between COD4 and MW2, which is a good thing, the multiplayer maps are just 'alright', and the multiplayer itself is just 'ok'. I don't find it nearly as addictive as previous COD games.
One last thing; The campaign was way too easy. I played through the entire single player game on Veteran on my first play through within 10 hours and I only died a couple times. The 'epic' scenes where you breach through doors and time slows down are way too simple, and the game was way too linear.
I give Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - Xbox 360 a 6.5 out of 10.
