Modern Warfare 3 is repetitive, manipulative, and non-innovative. Kill, reload, repeat is still the same motto.

I'm near my second prestige at the time of this review and I've got to say that this game is way below par considering the number of fans, copies sold, and the money these game developers are making on this thing. It's just the same repetitive crap from the game before. NOTHING ABOUT THIS GAME IS INNOVATIVE! The graphics are slightly better and the weapons look slightly different. Even the environments seem the same only with different buildings in different locations. The multiplayer is the only thing that keeps this brand afloat these days so it's no surprise that the developers haven't risked changing it up too much either. People still spawn in specific spots that can be targeted for points which is completely unfair, you'll constantly be shot from behind by a gunner or stabbed by a guy that never even touched you with the knife, people can still camp in glitched spots and get easy kills, explosions that are nowhere near you can still kill you much too easily, and overall, the deaths and kills rarely seem justified. There has been just the most ridiculously manipulative level-up system employed in this game's online mode. By leveling up, you acquire a new gun, piece of equipment, or perk for you character for each of the first 80 levels which I went through in about 40 hours and none of it changes up the game-play considerably except maybe for the shield you'll unlock which most people suck at using and hate anyway. Oh, and here's the most MANIPULATIVE THING ABOUT THE GAME RIGHT HERE THAT MAKES ME SO LIVID! Once you hit level 80, you can prestige which let's you choose to do a number of things like: get a new avatar which is useless, an extra class customization slot which is useless, 2 hours of double weapon experience which doesn't particularly change things up greatly, 2 hours of double experience for your character which doesn't help you at all because once you prestige then you go back to level one and you have to level up to level 80 all over again just to prestige once more, or you can unlock a gun early which doesn't help you at all because you lose all of your guns that you've unlocked when you prestige so it would make more sense not to prestige at all and thus not have to unlock a gun early. This is why Modern Warfare 3 is so manipulative. As for the single-player, I spent a few hours on it and got so bored with it that I refused to have myself play it again. Never buy this game. EVER!
