I just finished Ghosts and i have to say that it is the most annoying and shit CoD game I've yet to play. I can't tell if it's because the game is the worst or possibly because it's just another piece of shit in a long line of pieces of shits that has just caused the cup to run over. The game is patronizing and intellectually insulting on so many levels. The reason people may not notice this is because they are bombarded with waves and waves of meaning less action and tension and visuals.
The worst thing about this game and all CoD games is that it REEKS of corporate/marketing influence. You can tell the higher ups in Activision could not care less about making quality games, all they care about is making money, hence selling a game to as many people as possible by dumbing it down to retard level. You can tell that these people have no clue about video games and probably have never played them. And it is this attitude that is the most insulting. It makes me feel manipulated, marginalized and dismissed.
All the technical stuff does not make up for it. Yes the game is functional and effective but so what, this is Activision, they have the resources but it's a shame that most of those resources are wasted on shit like marketing and not the actual game. The GAME itself is just a copy paste from previous titles in terms of gameplay, level design, story etc. It's depressing when you think about the gaming industry and the state that it's in right now. I have hope that things will get better though, we have things like kickstarter and online distribution although the industry will never be completely free until these big, domineering, morally and creatively bankrupt publishers die. Look at the music industry, big record companies are obsolete for real musicians. Back in the day you needed them for distribution, production and marketing, now we have the internet. Oh and Bobby Kotick deserves to be beaten with a metal pipe.
Never been a big CoD hater but enough is enough, this game is NOT worth your money.
