New to the CoD series so bare with me!
This is what got all of my attention, enough to make me overlook the fact that there is no co-op mode. All the missions are unique and the story is interesting enough to keep you wanting more. I don't think it deserves a M for mature rating though since there's not really much violence going on other than a few blood stains but that isn't important. What I noticed first thing is that this story beats all the Halo campaigns I have played and is right up there with Half-Life 2. Couple of deaths and one crazy nuclear bomb experience later I was at the start up screen looking at what the multiplayer it has to offer. By the way, I love the frame rate and love the fact that it is very fast paced. Something more 1st Person shooters should look into. *cough* HALO *end cough*
But multiplayer is TERRIBLE! The maps are small, hardly any games and the fact that you die with a few small shots really gets noticed. I know this is supposed to be realistic but a game where you die so easily really sucks the fun out of multiplayer. You could miss an entire fight without ever even encountering anyone. But that is the only flaw to it, it's flashy and looks pretty in story mode but the multiplayer is still lacking. From this experience, I have changed my opinion about CoD and really look foward to Modern Warfare 3 and 2 but I'm not even gonna touch Black Ops. Great game series though, easily on my top 3. Halo, Half-Life, Call of Duty If you like 1st person shooters for the story mode get CoD, if you like the overall replayability get Halo or maybe Battlefield if you're not into that Sci-fi thing.
