This game took an amazing step up from the original games; it went from the World War setting to present day events. The campaign is incredible, with a lot of diversity in the types of missions. You start the campaign off in a tutorial, then as a spec ops team on board a military ship looking for information. Later you find yourself as a recon sniper team watching over an arms deal waiting to make your move. The games story line is very impressive and easy to relate to as it progresses. The games recruit setting is easy enough for casual and younger gamers whereas veteran is extremely difficult and brings challenge to even the most hardcore gamers. Not only is the campaign impressive but the multiplayer is just as good, the weapons are not overpowered and the ability to customize your own class makes for interesting matches where you can experiment with attachments to see the weapon combinations you prefer. Weapon classes are assault rifles, sub machine guns, shotguns, light machine guns, and snipers. There are also a number of perks to use to improve your multiplayer experience. Call of Duty 4 set a new standard for first person shooters. Unfortunately the Modern Warfare series has gone downhill since this game, in my opinion at least. I would highly recommend this game to all gamers.
