Overall the game is worse then 'Cabela's Trophy Buck', which can actually be fun compared to this piece of sh!t

User Rating: 3 | Cabela's Big Game Hunter: 10th Anniversary Edition - Alaskan Adventure PC
Let me start with a nostalgic look back on the second 'Big Game Hunter' which was (in my opinion) the best in the series. It featured excellent and well detailed environments as well as a great amount of depth (which is what I come to expect from such game's). It had tons of options involving such things like; firearms, clothing, lures, calls, survival gear, shelters, tracking equipment, animal preys, and levels. All of which were portrayed professionally on two CD's.

Now... 'Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2007 : 10th Anniversary' has none of these traits, leading to the undeniable truth that this game is complete sh!t. So lets start with the gameplay! When I entered the hunting grounds I was greeted by some old grizzly fella by two-way radio informing me on some of the basic controls and abilities that the game had to offer, and apparently that's all there was to know. You can run, crouch, shoot, and...,and-uh... that's it. All you literally do is run around STOMPING and BREATHING heavily in the underly-detailed environments until you come across an unsuspecting prey that seems to have not of heard your loud shenanigans on your way over to their location. If your prey does notice your presence, it will then start running around in circles, not really trying to escape, more in the hopes that you will miss him while it runs around in a scitz-matick fashion. You don't set up decoys, you can't set up tree stands, no bait or lures. You just run around the heavily invisible-walled level until you stumble upon the incredibly stupid prey. THAT'S IT!

Since the levels are so heavily invisible-walled it's more or less a linear path that your following, as if you were playing a game like Half-Life or Call of Duty. I want the freedom to go wherever I want, to set up my shelter and wait for the biggest buck to come along, and smoke it through the shoulder.

Now the graphics are absolutely horrible, it should have been called 'Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2004 : 7th Anniversary'. That's all I haft to say about that...

Apparently during the production of the game, some idiot thought it would be a good Idea to add a annoying echo to all the noises you hear in-game. I checked my "Audio settings" quite thoroughly and found no reason why the game should sound like that. The horrible audio pars with the graphics.

Overall the game is worse then 'Cabela's Trophy Buck', which can actually be fun compared to this piece of sh!t
