Aside from Gran Turismo i find it hard to enjoy racing games. They are just so boring!! I do like cars and in GT they look so good and i do like the realism they try to achieve, even though damage is missing! But anyway, lets talk about Burnout!!!
Can you guys believe i had this game for over 10 years and i decided to play it now. Yes in 2017. Graphics are not important for me so i have no problem playing games as long as they are fun, and boy this one was fun.
Crash, crash, crash! This game is all about crashing. Be it traffic checking where you build up score by hitting same way cars on the back, or takedown mode where you crash into rival cars, this game is all about smashing your car. And the biggest crash mode where you have to crash your car and cause a big traffic crash, its awesome.
How could devs back then create games on PS2 with graphics like these? We taking about a 300Mhz system and you got this game with many cars on screen, mayhem all over the place, sparks flying! Rederware seems like a good PS2 engine, even GTA games use it. At the start of the game there is a guy that is honored, he helped create it. RIP. Just one problem with the game, its a bit hard to see ahead with the SD resolution and the speed blur effect.
If you like what you read then look it up online, get it cheap. Its a fun game if you like classic games. Long game too since i spent over 40 hours to 100%. There isn't anything better on PS3 or PS4 considering the type of game it is.
