Burnout (2001)

although this game isnt need for speed, its a great game in its own way. If i'm in the mood for racing away from cops I play Need for speed hot pursuit 2, but if I'm in the mood for reckless driving and dodging cars on a highway, I play Burnout. The crash replays are really fun to watch. The gameplay is really good al the cars have great handling so you can swerve in front of cars and weave through traffic. There isnt really any storyline though. Also the game is very short. Its not hard at all to beat.
