Personally, I enjoyed NFS Hot Pursuit 2 much more.
-A basic set of cars for those who don't want to get too in depth.
-Good sense of speed.
-Championship mode takes a decent amount of time to beat.
-Arcade physics work well when fighting through traffic.
-Other game modes like faceoffs and 2 player are pretty fun.
-A.I. holds up surprisingly well.
The Bad:
-What exactly is the point of having a speed boost when everyone else just speeds up with you?
-The crashes don't really look that great. Back then they might've been good, but now...
-The music gets annoying after a while, and the engine sounds don't give a very powerful feel when driving.
-The game wouldn't accept my Logitech wheel, but in the end I think I'd crash all the time.
-Survival mode is impossible to beat. How do I go 3 laps through rush hour without crashing?
I'm not totally sure what to say about Burnout. It's really just an average game. I don't know what the price for it is, but if it's gone down, arcade racers may want to check it out just for the heck of it.
