A great arcade racer and the first game in the great series of games that is Burnout!
Burnout has some great visuals, and the crashes look amazing. The cars look great and so do all of the races. This isn't as good as it gets, but it's pretty close. The gameplay is very fun too: fast and frantic with really good controls and camera views. The controls are spot on and you never feel like the cars are acting sluggish. Every car really does feel different too especially some of the later cars you unlock that are huge!
This game is pretty short though, and if you really sit down and play through it, you can beat it pretty quickly. There aren't too many courses or extra cars, so the replay value isn't too high. The multi-player is fun though, especially playing with some friends.
This is a little different from the other Burnout games, as it focuses more on racing normally than crashing into opponents and such, so if you started the Burnout series with another game, then you may be disappointed. But for those of us who started with this game, this is a great game and started one of the best arcade racing series in a long time!
