Burnout 2 is the followup to Burnout, which was a good arcade styled racing game but it was way to short on value. Burnout fixes most of that and their sequel is way too fun in my opinion. The newest mode is the crash mode; and speaking of that! The crash mode's object is to crash a car as nastiest as possible and attempt to make the car you hit hit other cars. Sounds crazy, but its extremely fun. The world champion ship mode is fun too, where you would race, win cars and unlock more levels. Visually, Burnout 2 isnt much different from the first Burnout. It still has the nice fram rates and stuff but its mostly the same. Nontheless, the game still looks good and you will probably have more fun thanks to the graphix. Sounds are good too. The music in Burnout 2 is your ordinary type of police car chase; just like Gamespot Reviewer Jeff G. said. Once again, I have to give the game and the developer props because the music (just like visuals) make the game more fun. As far as the game's value goes... well... this is one of those games that you could probably beat 100% of it in just like 4-6 hours. But during those times (and especially the crash modes) you will have alot of fun. And plus if you have some friends over, you could play the multiplayer; classic arcade driving. Overall Burnout 2 is a great game. Its not TOO much different from the first one but crash mode especially stands out as a big role of it's success. Its a simple game that alot of racing games fans will get into.. Hitting trafic has never been so much fun. If you want a good game that you're willing to spend good time during the weekend, rent the game, its worth it big time. If you are big fan of arcade racing ( and even if you arent), this is a must buy. Its way too fun.
