In a game with endless options for eliminating enemies, it's easy to pull an all nighter.

STORY

In Bulletstorm, you play as Grayson Chance. A former military agent who performed stealth missions with his team, Dead Echo. The team goes rogue after discovering that their general Soranno has been using them to kill innocent people who were a risk of revealing Soranno's secrets. After a few years, Dead Echo comes across Soranno's prized warship the Ulysses. After a short battle both ships come crashing down onto the planet Stygia. However a majority of the team are killed in the crash. Those who are not killed are soon eliminated by the mutated locals. All but Grayson and his best friend Ishi who is nearly killed in an explosion during the crash. He is kept alive by crude bionic parts. However his brain is slowly becoming less human and more machine. The two must battle their way across the planet to find an escape. They are aided by Trishka who is one of Soranno's top commanders. Her backstory also has great meaning for the story but I won't spoil any more.

Gameplay

You have a few basic combat options. You can use your leash to pull enemies and weapons towards you. You can also kick enemies into hazards like bombs, killer plants, and electricity, or you can slide into enemies to throw them off balance. This is aside from the rediculously destructive weapons you can use. One that stood out launched a type of bomb at enemiesthat latched onto them and could be triggered manually or just given time to explode. All of these killing methods work very well together as you perform skillshot after skillshot. Skillshots are various kills that earn you a certain number of skillpoints depending on how difficult they are to buy weapons and ammo.

Side Notes

The highlight of Bulletstorm is the over the top dialogue that will have you laughing constantly. (Provided you aren't offended by the language used) Also, if you buy the Epic Edition of this game, which is the same price as the basic edition, you get free access to the upcoming Gears of War 3 beta this April.

Conclusion

Overall this is an amazing game that has a perfect mix of comedy, action, and an in depth story. If you have a 360, you would be crazy not to play this game. And for all of you that are planning on getting it, I hope you enjoy the experience.
