Has some awesome tricks but not much substance or glue to hold it all together.
Awesome soundtracks, metal and hard rock hits.
Awesome character and name influences with real life rockstars.
Funny outlook to all the things in the game. i.e. the characters the animals everything seems like they are from the Joker book of madness entangled with metal music references.
The whole game is a metal tribute, from the mountains to the statutes, to the shoes the character wears and what each are called.
In a nutshell you will love everything in the game if you love metal, specially the hilarious head bangers.
The Bad:
During gameplay even with all the metal references it seemed like I was playing a harry potter game on steroids.
It gets dull very soon roaming around the Brutal Legend world.
The fighting mechanism just gets very boring, think world of warcraft instead of turn based, in real time.
The graphics in one word : suck.
Overall I think they could have made it a lot better, by not going to the funny side so excessively. If they had made the world and characters a lot darker instead of this comical blah! this game would have hit the roof. well maybe next time.
I would suggest everyone to stay away from this one or just rent it.
