First Impressions: This is absolutely the best WW2 shooter I've ever played.

User Rating: 9.3 | Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 XBOX
The Good: Solid Campaign; Great, intense multiplayer action; making the game more about strategy than skill; lots of great soldiers who you'll learn about; shooting nazis!

The Bad: Trying to figure out how to command your troops; slight confusion in what's happening where; Long loading times

There have been many WW2 games. Some great, some abysmal. When other WW2 games are announced, they usually aren't met with great enthusiasm. Brothers In Arms might change that.

The game is based on a true story. Mainly about a man called Seargent Baker. Baker and his squad are trying to end the war so they can go home. What's cool about this game is that 1) the story that it's telling really happened, and 2) it's more complex than just dropping you off somewhere and give you objectives all tediously and such. You're given an assignment by another Seargent and then leaves you free to do it. The soldiers who are with you will comment on what the sarge said and then will follow your orders.

What's different about this game is that it actually uses strategy rather than just run and gun and then look for a health kit. You're gonna get shot down quickly if you do that. You have to tell your squad to suppress the enemy while you and the assault team flank them. It really adds a whole new element to WW2 shooters. You have to be very careful, as it can get very difficult if you lose your men. The AI is fierce and aggressive. They fire on you from different areas, and when you don't fire, they'll fire as quickly as they can.

The graphics in this game are decent. They show faces and stuff fairly well. The textures aren't anything spectacular though. You'll just see grass popping up out of the ground and everything else is flat. It's not all bad though. The sound is pretty good. Actually, the guns firing is the most accurate I've ever heard. It really sounds like a gun's firing. The voice acting is pretty good. The only thing I didn't like is all the F bombs being used.

One of the things that FPS fans will need to get used to is the fact that there is no crosshair. If you want to fire accurately, you need to push the right thumbstick in to aim. It adds another element that can be hard to figure out, yet pretty cool. The squad commands can be a lot of fun too. You can tell your squad to suppress the enemy, move to a certain position, fall in, fall out, and assault an enemy. It really gives you a lot to think about when you're trying to command a fire team and an assault team.

Gameplay: Extremely realistic and lots of cool characters and guns, this is the best I've seen from a WW2 shooter.

Graphics: They are pretty good. Yet nothing overly impressive.

Sound: The voice acting sounds great and so do the guns!

Value: The campaign is quite long and will take you a while if you try it on a harder difficulty

Final Words/ Tilt: This is absolutely the best WW2 game I've ever played
