Brothers in arms earned in blood is a game made by gearbox software
It uses the same graphics engine used by its predecessor Unreal engine 2.0

Story:

The story is told through the eyes of Sgt. Joe Hartsock as he and his squad mates attempt to kill of more german soldiers. The story is a told by hartsock to a Colonel S.L.A marshall 15 days after the D-day.
The story is not the strongest point of the game. But it seems to be the most important part of the game as the gameplay from BIA:RTH 30
And BIA:EIB are almost identical. The only difference being the twist in A.I.
The game is more like a continuation to the story of the first game And it gives u better reason to kill of more german soldiers

Gameplay:
Brothers in arms earned in blood is a tactical world war 2 shooter
The run in gun blazing tactic will not work in this game
The player needs to carefully plan out his attack by letting the firing team stay in one position and absorb enemy bullets while the player and his assault tem go around the back and flank the enemy position.
This is where the new and improved enemy A.I comes in
The sneaking around tactic at times may be overthrown completely
Enemies may notice the flanking team and just as the player is about reached the flanking postion he will be met by a barrage of bullets. This Encourages the player to rethink his tactics before every battle.
The player is also able to see the whole battlefield through a birds eye view prospective. This will help the player to understand the enmy postions and successfully kill them all off.
The gameplay is really enjoyable but there are very few if any upgrades from the first game A.I excluded. Also the A.I of the players squadmates are not as good as the nemies
Ordering the squad mates to take cover in a ditch and fire will ofen lead to them crouching down in the ditch and firing which infact kills them. This creates a minor annoyance when all of the squad mates are killed and the player has to restart the mission at a checkpoint.

Presentation:

BIA:EIB is a port of the x-box version
So while the graphics aren't top notch it still gives the player the feeling that they are
On real battle grounds with dirt flying when a bullet/grenade hits the ground.
Realism is a big part of the game.
During a mission if one or more of the players squadmates gets KIA ( killed in action)
And the mission is completed the player is given the choice to revive the team mate or restart the mission. This interferes with the realism of the game a great deal.
Why couldn't the dead soldier be replaced by another one?
Or why cant their stats be increased like other war games like conflict:Vietnam were the player gets to upgrade each soldiers abilities?
Other than this minor bump the presentation is perfect

Design :
The level design of brothers in arms is the same if not identical to road to hill 30.
The sound design is very original and every click of the rifle and reloading sound has been replicated almost perfectly
The sound of the grenades exploding and tanks firing makes the player feel that they are infact in world war two and that they have to Finish off the mission as quickly as possible or else they die.
This is one part of the game which nails the realism.
Also the L1 shoulder button is used to look through the orin sights but the same button is used to issue the tram to move to a certain location.
This can be the reason of many untimely and unfortunate death of the players squadmates.

Final thoughts:

Even though Brothers in arms:Earned in blood does not perform well as a port of the original game it still does its job and puts the player in an immersive world.
This game will be adored by all who played it and hated by very few.
