This was very similar to the first one but way better when it comes to the multiplayer.

User Rating: 8.1 | Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood XBOX
Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood is in many ways much like the first game, Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30. The campaign puts you in the boots of Sgt. Joe Hartsock, who you might remember from the previous game, a corporal in Sgt. Matt Baker's squad, nicknamed Red. Red is a newly appointed sergeant, and must earn the respect of his crew. The game begins at D+15, where Red recalls his past services with Baker to a general. The first chapter is all video, but that is soon completed, and we get to the action, beginning in the D-Day landing.

Generally, the campaign follows the same major points as the last game, but in a different perspective, showing you why and how Baker's crew got to where they are. Gameplay-wise, everything actually is the same, except for one new weapon, the M3 grease-gun. Red usually starts off with his B.A.R., which he found from a dead body, and his M1 Carbine. Squad tactics are still essential in this game, moving from cover to cover and flanking and counter-flanking enemies. This can get tiring from time to time, especially since doing it all the last game, and this is where the new components of this game come in.

The game offers a new "skirmish" mode, which supports 5 different base levels. Each of these levels comes with a choice of different game types, Objective, where simply enough you complete the objective unique to the level; Defense, where you start at the main part of a base and defend against waves of enemies; Timed Assault, where you try to eliminate a number of enemies as quickly as possible; and Tour of Duty, where you drop in the level and tackle 5 missions, without dying in between. There are varying levels of difficulty, which raise or lower the enemies accuracy, tactics, and suppression ability, or you can choose your own custom difficulty, controlling those variables yourself. These missions are really fun to play on multiplayer (head-to-head or co-op), or even by yourself, if you're stressed after a tough level.

The new co-op option in multiplayer is a great addition to the game. It's a lot easier to work with 2 squads when you're sitting beside the other squad leader. There's less to worry about, especially on missions like defense where, if playing alone, you have to run back and forth between fronts to make sure you're men are doing what you want. Here, the other squad leader (hopefully, if intelligent enough) can take care of one front as you worry about the other.

All in all, Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood is a great game, a rebuild from the first with a tweaked storyline, and improved multiplayer for hours of fun, on Live or with friends.
