The best and most elaborate Brain Trainer. There's something here for everyone!

Sofar I've played only Dr Kawashima's 'Brain Training' and 'More Brain Training'. The games are great, but fairly limited. After a while I realised there's only some 10-12 challenges in there, and in the long run I like and play less than half of them...

So I was very curious about this new release. To my delight I find the presentation crisp and colorful, with distinctly more challenges thrown into the package. First of all, the regular Training consists of 5 categories, Logic, Math, Memory, Visual and Focus, each containing 5 unique challenges. So yes, that means 25 challenges to start with. Even better: I like most of the games, along with their presentation, challenge, 3 difficulty settings and scoring system.

Your Daily Brain Test will consist of 5 challenges randomly chosen from the 5 categories, so there's a new mix every day. Great fun!

Then there's Stress Training, consisting of 3 categories, Authority, Multitask and Physical, each containing 3 challenges each. Most of these are variations of Brain Training challenges. However, in most cases the Stress element is such that the games feel like a completely new challenge. The concept with Stress Training is you being hindered in some way, with annoying sounds, little critters crawling around or a police officer banging on the screen when you make a mistake, while you're trying to get a high score. One of my Stress favourites is a Multitask variation, with 2 puzzles going on at the same time.
And where in theory the entire Stress Training idea may sound like it's going to induce móre stress, I find it not to be the case at all (no idea how they pulled that off).

Your Daily Stress Test will consist of 3 challenges randomly chosen from the 3 categories, so there's a daily fresh mix here too. And again: great fun!

And finally, there are 9 bonus activities, ranging from Fishing and playing the piano to a little Tangram game. Most of these are fairly unimportant, but one or two are a really nice diversion from getting your brain Well Done, Overcooked and Burned.

To complete Brain Challenge there's a system in place tracking your Average progress ánd in categories separately. On top of that, the game shows you how many hours you've played sofar, Fast answer-Slow answer ratios, Cerebral age and more.

"So errrm, where's the downside here? There's got to be one, yes?"

Well, only one that I can see: No Sudoku! Too bad.... :-(

All in all, I'm thrilled I bought this one. There's really something here for everyone!
