A game where not everything is quite as it seems

User Rating: 9 | Braid PC
Good:
- Challenging puzzles
- Great art style
- Great music
- Charming story

Bad:
- Low replay value
- Story doesn't have much to do with gameplay

Braid is a true modern classic filled with some of the most ingenious and challenging puzzles that I have ever experienced. This, coupled with a fantastic art style and soothing soundtrack make the time you'll spend playing it entertaining and rewarding. Whilst Braids puzzles will confound and delight in equal measure, it is the story that gives the game some meaning. It is a heartfelt tale of love and loss that will keep you enchanted till the end. Whilst each world has a unique aspect relating to the story, both this and the gameplay don't occur simultaneously. The fact that the story and gameplay are separate for most of the game is disappointing but not a major issue as both aspects are equally superb. My final completion time for the main game was around 8 hours and like most puzzle games replay value is low, but for the hardcore players there are collectible stars and time trial modes.
