A brain bending platform adventure makes your mind twist in ways that games rarely can.

Let's break it down:

Game Play:
Braid introduces a type of puzzle that, to my knowledge, really hasn't been done before. Sure, Prince of Persia you could rewind time, and dozens of games of done the slo-mo. But Braid gives the protagonist, Tim, supreme control. Each world has Tim in control of time in a different fashion, always keeping you on your toes and your synapses firing to figure out what appear to be simple levels, but are really masterfully laid out articulate puzzles.

Graphics:
This game is downright gorgeous. Details galore give what could have been a simple 2D platformer amazing depth and a great fantastical quality.

Music:
The score to Braid is top notch. Aside from giving a lovely ambient feel the to the game, the music actually syncs up with the manipulation of time.

Replayability:
Once you've completed the game, the option to replay as a speed run becomes available. Honestly, I didn't feel the urge to do this. BUT, if I ever do go back to the game, that is something that will make it still a challenge, for sure.

Overall:
It may be a 2D game, but it certainly makes you think in three dimensions, adding time as a prime factor in all your puzzle decisions. This game is one of a kind and well worth my time and money.
