A sweet little addictive platformer that makes me horny

User Rating: 8.5 | Braid PC
Just finished Braid. A perfect little game that can give you just the break you need from whatever **** you were in the middle of doing. For me, it's studying Chinese and boy do I need breaks as often as you can give em.

The only downside to Braid, which i'll gloss over quickly, is it being the victim of another case of game developers finding themselves unable to integrate gameplay and storytelling. If you want to give a damn about the story you have to read some text before actually entering the game world. Not like it's that much text but this is my break time. I'm looking to get into the puzzles as fast as possible.

Regardless, gameplay controls are pretty flawless. I played the whole game with one hand. Which is more efficient than masturbating Move with the typical AWSD keys, jump with space and reverse time with the left shift key. Job done. Now it's just up to you to figure how to get those friggen puzzle pieces that are placed ever so cleverly around those ever so cleverly designed levels. And for those of you who don't know, collecting puzzle pieces is the objective.

I have to say, I wish the game was a bit more challenging. Only one piece took more than 10 minutes to figure how to get but in the end I luckily got it by accident. Almost consulted the internet on that one.

I'll jump on the train and and agree with many reviewers that say the level design, when the game reaches its latter half, becomes repetitive. But whatever. It's short and sweet and just what you need when you don't know exactly what is that you need. I even threw the game in my friends face, a friend who hadn't got laid in a long time, and Braid somehow managed to give him this strange temporary sexual satisfaction.

Here's to creativity in videogames, no matter how small the dose is.
