It tries to hard

--It tries to hard-- that is really what sums this game up for me.

half the features seems unfinished or out of place. Why does this game even have a day/night circle Why does this game have so called "romance" options?.

Normaly I kinda enjoy the cheesy romance options. But you barely get to know any of your companions in the 15-20 hours it takes to complete this game, it feels like they just implimented them to lure lonely geeks into buying the game in hopes of a virtual romance.

and the day/night circle has 0 effect maybe 1-2 quests in the entire game. (and you barely notice the difference)

sigh... Tries to hard to be something its not.

the combat is decent-
but both the warrior and ranger feels like a block of stone because they didn't impliment a combat roll, instead you use timed blocks and kicks to try to knock you enemy off balance in warrior stance . In the Ranger stance you can jump back, but not to the sides?!?!.

In theory you can swap back and forth between the stances, but you dont have enough skills points to level both warrior and ranger (the problem here is, that 90% of the bonuses in one tree is removed when you swap to the other)

some monsters have an insane amount of hit points, and it feels like they just soak op damage for no reason
other monsters deal an insane amount of damage. And since you can't roll away. You try to time your parry. and when it fails you just die.. even on half hp. (and I only played 2/4 difficulty setting)

the lock on targeting system, seem to target with your hero(front) and not the camera, so when trying to get to an archer in the backgound its almost impossible to log on to him from a distance.

still I had some fun, but it gets old pretty fast.

the story is, again..decent.

I really liked the Demon inside my head theme, and the evil ice lords was a decent enough plot.

but the way its presented is horrible, cut scenes out of nowere, Talking to the demon inside your head while there is combat infront of you. (it feels like a game from 2002)

sometimes it feels like something is missing.

here is an example of a Sidequest in the game....
"polt" convince the rebels to join you in the upcomming battle
so, you walk up to the guy and chat abit, and agree that if you can beat his man in combat they will join you.
BOOM out of nowhere a guy attacks from the side with no warning, you start running a bit and turn around and kill him in 4-5 hits. quest complete.............(I mean really?!?!)

......................
I know I didnt have much positive to say about the game. But its so filled with mediocre and generic poop that its hard to find the good stuff.

still its not all bad..

BuT DO not buy at full price. it is not worth 40£. try it, if you can get a cheap version.
