Gearbox can do better...
with 3 maps. The way it starts is one the first few rounds random bonuses come in such as giving your opponents more damage, making you hit less, more damage which shotguns etc.
As I said, it just gets old... There's waves, 5 rounds in each wave each round always having the same kind of mobs.
Such as horde wave - All melee units but it always does the same thing on the same round so it doesn't mix things up.
The reward items are okay, the bank system is decent and gives a reason to save money to buy bank slots. So overall it's okay, could've been better.
If your a diehard borderlands fan then i'd say go for it.
If not, i'd say just wait it off for the next DLC.
BUT, if you are into survival like firefight and just can't get enough of it for some reason then it's well worth the purchase if you don't mind crazy repetitive-ness.
Oh, almost forgot the story. Extremely poor, doesn't add on from the old story. Mad Moxxi who has had loads of husbands but has killed them all and is a widow, she is looking for a new man. But basically falls in love with the arena and it is her man, and you just have to survive... So, poor story.
Anyway
Thanks for reading my review, hopefully it helped you out.
