Whether or not you really enjoy Bomberman Land simply comes down to your taste in mini-games.
In the simplest terms, Bomberman Land Wii is a collection of mini-games. For some of us older Wii owners, we're starting to cringe every time we hear the word "mini-game". However, Bomberman has two main things that separate it from most other mini-game collections.
1. Every mini-game has 5 different levels of difficulty. To progress to level 2, you must beat level 1, and so on. It does a really great job of actually making the mini-games more challenging, to the point where you'll really have to practice to beat levels 4 and 5 sometimes.
2. REWARDS! Beating level 5 of any mini-game will win you an accessory to help stylize your Bomberman. It's nice to have something to show for all of your hard work, especially when xbox 360 owners are getting achievements (and soon PS3 owners will too).
Another nice feature of Bomberman Land Wii is the addition of classic bomberman mode, where you and three other players can play the regular 2D battles.
The big cons of this game are fairly minor-
--Sometimes the higher level of mini-games can be way too difficult, like requiring a seemingly impossible high score.
--Also, the beginning of the story mode is frustrating since it takes awhile to get used the minigames, all the while your computer competitors are climbing way above you on the rank ladder.
Overall:
It's not the most engaging and deep title in the Bomberman series, but it can hold it's own as both a single player and multi-player game.
It's a rewarding and fun experience, but whether or not you really enjoy it simply comes down to your taste in mini-games.
