The only thing to highlight here: it comes with the original Bomberman game!

User Rating: 6 | Bomberman Land WII
(+) It includes the original Bomberman battle game which is very customizable and a blast to play

(-) The rest of the game is made up of bad mini games; some of the mini-games don't even control properly; story mode has a desperate lack of dept

It's difficult to find a Wii owner that feels the need to collect a lot of mini-game collections. As many as there are out there, even when they are creatively thought out and the motion control precision gets the job done, they simply aren't great. But what if they're not creatively thought out and the motion controls aren't precise? Then you end up with a game like Bomberman Land.

You have a story mode where you complete in a hefty sequence of mini-games, most that have been borrowed from other Wii titles and slapped with bomberman on them like a stamp. These mini-games are most the time shallow and easy to complete, like math class and lilly pad hopping, or ruined with some unpolished motion controls, like water slide and cave gliding. Worse yet, none of these mini-games seem to reinforce what Bomberman has always been known for: BOMBS!

The only depth there is to speak of is winning these mini-games to advance. You take your course in an adventure mode, but in order to move in the free roam environment you have to point your cursor at the screen and press B and your bomberman follows? That's weird. As you complete these mini-games and earn points you can customize your bomberman with a good variety of hats, shirts, pants, shoes, and other accessories, but that's pretty much all the depth there is to speak of.

You can use you custom made Bomberman in the included original Bomberman game, the only part of the game I really got enjoyment out of. They made it better than ever, with at least 50 different bomberman designs that can be unlocked through the story mode (ugh...). There are a good variety of levels that have terrain lock rocks, wobblies, belts, and the hectic full speed and full power levels. You can also customize the color of the board to a surprising number of choices.

Really the only selling point I see in Bomberman Land is the original Bomberman game included. Otherwise, it wouldn't be just another Wii mini-game collection, it would be a broken one.
