Blur is the latest racing game from Bizzare creatons known for the successful PGR series.
Powerups
Blurs premise is power ups. If this sounds like a mario kart rip off to you, then i don't blame you, but Blurs take is a very good one.
You have 8 power ups in total. Each one has it's own use.
Here are the poweups
Nitro - For extra boost
Shock - lighting that slows you down if you run into it
Bolt - as it sounds. you fire these to slow dowm cars in the distance
Repair - fixes your vehicle when it's badly damaged
shield - protects you from oncoming attacks
Barge - shoves a rival vehicle out of your way
Shunt - Fires a massive electric ball at a rival car
Cars
Blur features 55 real world cars. From the Ford focus RS, to a Ford GT.
Cars handle different from one another, and each have their strengths and weaknesses. Some cars can take more damage than others.
Real world locations
Blur takes you to New york, Barcelona, and so on...
Online multiplayer
Blur lets you play with up to 19 other players in a single race. Each race is intense. Unlike the SP, Blurs MP will take a lot more skill. You'll have to use powerups whenever you can, or you'll likely be sitting in last place wondering what hit you.
Verdict
Blur in my opinion is one of the best arcade racing games around. The racing is exciting, and challenging. The online multiplayer is one of the best i've seen in a racing game. All this comes together to make Blur a must buy for racing fans.
