Before playing Bloodborne I completed all the Dark Souls Games and Sekiro. The reason was that Bloodborne was the only game unavailable to PC users so I simply forgot about its existence. Years later after borrowing a PS4 from my friend, I decided to buy Bloodborne which was cheap(around 20$) and quickly started playing. What followed was the very definition of hermit. I was so addicted to this game that I didn't leave my house for 4 days straight. I completed the game with the DLC and I was simply struck. The graphics, the gameplay, the story, the mechanics and the difficulty which is only relative to your skill as a player.
You will either love this game or hate this game.
Who will love this game?
- People who like video game art because the game is beautiful. Its set in a gothic, victorian londonian horror like theme which is something that I have never seen before in any other game.
- The game is challenging and feels real. You simply have to get good by learning the mechanics or you won't progress. Armor is not as significant as you think which means that hiding behind items won't cut it. You have to become good by moving and timing your attacks. If you cannot reach the right reflexes, this game isn't for you.
- Those who finished Dark Souls might find this game significantly harder since there is no BLOCKING or SHIELDS... you need to attack... The best defense is a good offense should be the written under the game's title. Be aggressive or die!
Who will hate this game?
- People who are video game newbies.
- People who don't like a challenge.
-People who can't cope with games that force you to make it to an entire area before saving.. not instant respawns.. this game is not for 5 year old children.
Simply put... This game is amazing.. If you can learn to enjoy it, its really rewarding!
