I mostly enjoyed this game. It has a good backstory, and sticks with the story to the end. It seems that it was developed with a sequel in mind, but that never materialized.

I have two quibbles with the mechanics of the game. The first, and most serious, is the tendency for your boat to slam in reverse when doing hard turns. I know that this tendency added at least five frustrating hours to the play time. The second quibble is stylistic. I would have like to have the ability to switch the boat I was using out for each scene out of those available. Or at least to have that as something that could be unlocked.

The weapons were a good mix. Their ability to hit a target was a bit unpredictable over a distance, but I don't think that this is a negative.

  Blood Wake is a fair attempt at an intriguing concept. Despite its flaws, it's still worth the low price.
