I know IA is poor and sometimes it looks too easy to kill an opponent, but it was 6 years since I've played Blood Bowl last time. And that addiction was just sleeping...
The best way to enjoy this game is with friends.
The campaign is funny but quite boring after the 4th or 5th trophy.
It lacks some of the league options (inducements like cards, wizards, bloodwiesers, halfing cooks, etc...) but the game-play is actually the same you have on the board, with the opportunity to get the players you like (and can afford).
So, buy and play it as long as you have some friends you cannot interact with the board game or you like the game but cannot afford the cost of miniatures.
In other terms, it is the right tool for a fan, but it is not the right way to make someone a fan of Blood Bowl.
