The perfect caricature of the NFL.

User Rating: 8 | Blitz: The League PS2
The Run Down:
Blitz The league is a foot ball game devolved by midway in 2005. The game has two options of play. Campaign and Quick play. Campaign is the main part of the game. This is were you play through the story as a couch whose goal is to rebuild a team that has been beaten down by another team. The reason he was hired is because of the former owner of the team fired the entire staff and hired an entire new team. The goal of the team is to some how move from the bottom division and work to the top division and when the super bowl, (cough) I mean the league champion ship game. All the wile you have a load mouth rookie that causes you to have to complete bonus missions and an old fart vet that gets his dumb ass in trouble so much that one game you don't get to use him on your D because hes in jail.
The Good:
This is a plain fun game. You can chose were your teams from (though I will say its a bleak selection of towns) the team name, the mascot and the colors. You can name the players and chose what they ware wile playing the game. The in game controls are easy to learn and the game even teaches you to play it. To tell you the truth if your not at least decent at this game after playing through training camp its your fault.
The Bad:
Some of the in game graphics are really janky. I have a problem with the way they have cars look to. The cars look like big block sliding along the ground. The way the people look out side of the uniforms looks like crap. The aggravation of being picked off easily really pisses me off.
The Ugly:
This games long a$$ loading screens makes me just want to puke. It should not take near as long as it takes to load and save the games. This made the rating of this game go way down for me.
Jerks Conclusion:
This was a fun game. I would not own a copy if it wasn't. But this games loading screens tends to suck all the fun out of it. Every once and a wile the reviewers on this site and I agree on the rating of this game. Id would for sure recommend this game to any one who would like to play a M rated version of any NFL game.
