Heat the Soul 5 is an amazing, innovative game. That's right. It's a game. Nothing more. Nothing less. If you don't know Japanese, that's too bad for you but, trust me, despite the first few kinks in trying to understand the obvious, you'll find yourself at home among your favorite manga/anime characters as they dish out pain, pain, and more pain to who else but one another. Who needs to know some funny-looking characters to know what a few buttons do? Basically, circle means confirm (like x) in this Japanese game. As I've mentioned, the graphics are beyond imaginable. Though not, say, up to comparison with some of the finer PSP masterpieces, the graphics really remain faithful to Kubo's productions. For those who do not understand Japanese like me, you'll find yourself more successful with a walkthrough (online). However, even to do the most simple attack on this game will give you 100% utmost satisfaction. So, you ask, what's stopping this game from getting a 10? Well, basically, because the game crashed a lot for me and it took me a while to unlock certain characters. Long loading screens also interfere with gameplay. However, this should, by no means, prevent you from having the ultimate gaming experience.
