Want a portable console game? this is it for fighter fans (a short insight into what to expect)

User Rating: 8.5 | BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II PSP
The Good
-ALL characters from the console on a portable
-Feels the exact same as the console versions
-Tweaks to content a welcome (arcade mode for console DLC characters and story mode addons for them as well to name a few)

The Bad
-Limitations due to portable show clearly
-The narrator (for character selection and fight starting phrase) is laughable bad

I love BlazBlue, it has a lot in it and not just fighting. You have a (very) lengthy story you can sit through and listen to the sometimes funny banter between the characters, different game modes to keep the fighting different and a good variety of characters.
I never got the first BlazBlue for the PSP, not enough characters for my money I felt, but I looked into it enough to get an idea of what this one would be like and it was pretty accurate.
For the most part it IS BlazBlue on the consoles, nobody can deny it, it has the same story layout (mind I haven't beaten the story in this yet, it can take a good bit and constant text needs breaks :D), same game modes Legion getting a tweak from consoles but remains same concept (obviously), but this is not a bad thing by any accounts, in fact it's perfect.
All the characters are present that are available on console (so no Relius to my knowledge and to the net, it seems, if he is in it) so you get that variety on the go is great. And the fighting isn't compromised by the limited buttons on a PSP, they work just fine (just get used to a Dpad input for movement if you are not already)
Of course the game itself is not perfect (none are) and to keep it simple I put this as limitations of the PSP in the list. Character sprites are smudgy and weirdly thickly outlined, the voices are sound recordings that you can barely hear unless you change settings to make it so, and then you will regret it due to poor quality. The narrator is well…. practised Engrish. It is laughably bad in its pronunciation for some reason the sentence "The wheel of fate is turning" is now three badly said sentences and rebel is now "reeble" and character names are strained. This bad voice acting is only during the game itself, the voices during cutscenes seem fine if not at least MUCH better quality.
This is not a full balls to the wall review of this game I admit, more of an insight into the game for the curious mind and I am hoping you have some knowledge on BlazBlue. If not on the latter then hopefully someone will post a better review than this, or I will revisit it with more time at hand.
