If you like the Guilty Gear series, you'll love BlazBlue.

The game is a standard 2D fighter. It has it's combo archs, it's characters. But it has a multitude of modes that keep the gameplay fresh. So it doesn't give you the repetition of "fight others till you beat the boss, repeat", that a Street Fighter, or Mortal Kombat might give you. Don't get me wrong, the SF and MK's are good when you just want to kick butt. But sometimes you need a little more. Add a wacky Anime Sci-Fi/Supernatural story line, and you have BlazBlue. It reminds me of Darkstalkers which has not had it's own title since the PSP in '04, and the PS2 versions were released in '97 originally. The cut-scenes are great pieces of art and the story is good. I'm not saying that all fighters should be like this, but it wouldn't hurt to have more of these Japanese fighters imported to the US. The voice acting is great by Anime standards. I hope future iterations of this title make it to the US with the same quality. What else can I say, go play.
