Promised so much, delivered very little.

Upon reading the game description I was promised a "most spectacular journey through time in the history of videogames!!". Sounded pretty promising. Unfortunately for me, the game far from lived up to it's word. Instead I was given a game I can only describe as a low budget Pac-Man that the developers seemed to release in some kind of unpolished beta stage.
The game, like Pac-Man consists of you controlling a simple looking chap through a maze, collecting fruit and avoiding monsters. However the big difference here is that you play through different eras of video gaming, starting from 4 bit graphics through 16-bit, up to 128-bit graphics, each step offering up improved graphics, and some new features, such as multiple floors to the stages, and the ability to jump. As much as these changes tried to make the game interesting, the fundamentally bad design left the game feeling stale. Even the graphics were poor, admittedly they were supposed to in the early stages, but even in the later 64 and 128-bit stages, they were still very simplistic, far below standards set by games on consoles of them graphical capabilities.
Out of all the Pac-Man style games out there, this one would fall somewhere near the bottom of the barrel. However, if more time was spent on it's development, it could have been a pretty good imitation with an interesting history of video games quirk, instead of a game falling far short of its grand statements.
