The Rapture holds many secrets and mysteries and it's up to you to uncover them.
Once again you are back in Rapture but this time you are playing as a Big Daddy who is looking for his special 'Little Sister'. The Rapture is a very unique place to explore which makes the game really fun to explore. The underwater utopia has many hidden secrets and items to find. The story keeps you engaged through cut scenes and tape recorder playbacks. Playing as a Big Daddy is fun and the only thing that can really pose a threat is the new enemy.. Big Sister. Big sisters are fast and powerful which counters your slow and powerful self.
Bioshock 2 is about the whole experience not just action. It's about exploring, collecting items, upgrading your weapons, getting new plasmids (magic). Bioshock 2 is different from other first person shooters because the action is fun and the story is very different from what you've seen. Unlike Infinite, alot of the battles are close combat which really intensifies things. You'll be blasting at baddies alot of times in small corridors or little rooms. You have your typical weapons shotgun, machine gun then you have more unique weapons like spear gun which when you shoot it, it can spear your enemies onto walls leaving awesome fatalities. One of my personal favorite was the arm drill that is only used up close but I upgraded it enough to be more powerful and to freeze my enemies.
There's alot of fun to be had in Bioshock 2 but now I will tell you about what I thought could of been improved. I think there could of been more interactions with NPC's in this game like there were in Bioshock Infinite. Most of the time the people you run into are enemies but they should of extended that a little more. The background use 2D cut-outs instead of full 3D backgrounds. I think plasmids should of just been obtained over time instead of purchased. The reason behind this is I went through the entire game only using the Incinerate, and Electrical Plasmids. There were other ones I could of used but I never felt like buying them using Adam. Other then that the game is pretty much awesome.
Bioshock 2 has alot of atmosphere and character and it keeps you engaged in it for the whole entire time. Savings little sisters is a blast and upgrading your weapons and stuff is always fun. The story keeps you in the zone as you constantly pick up recordings from special characters keeping you in the story. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes FPS's or anyone who likes an engaging story.
