A game of new generation ? YES !

User Rating: 8 | Binary Domain PC
The game takes place on earth in the year 2080 , where robotics have become an inseparable part of human life for the simple reason that robots were needed to rebuild the human world after the global warming and all the other cataclysms that followed . The player takes charge of a platoon of 3-4 soldiers ( yourself included ) . You take the role of Daniel Marshal a sargant from the IRTA and ex US soldier . The task you are given is to go and fight a world threatening corporation and although it controls only 5% of the global robotics market the Amada corporation turns out to be a pain in everyones ass yourself included . You have to apprehend and secure the owner and chief of the corporation who is supposed to be in his mid-late 80s.

Now why did i proclaim the game is the 1st so far of that generation . I've seen people complain on forums that they don't like the PC port for the game because tutorials and hints are given with the " buttons " for an Xbox 360 pad , which is idiotic the least because it can be changed in the options . So what was good about the game : It's smooth, the boss fights are intriguing , the effects and graphics are splendid ( probably not seen on Xbox 360 or PS 3 because of resolution but on PC it's awesome) , but that we've seen so far so what makes the game special . The answer is simple : Interaction , the game gives you the opportunity to actually interact with your team on a level so far I haven't seen , the game supports voice recognition and has a wide aspect of words that are understandable by your team and they react or correspond according to what you say , so it really makes you THE leader of the task force group unlike say Mass Effect where you can position your characters and order them to move or stay , you can actually make your team fire at your will , regroup to your location ,get back and hide ( say you want to take a turret and not have your team strolling all over the place and eventually losing med packs ). Here though your teammates don't necessarily follow all orders depending on the level of their trust in you which should point you to the simple fact you should stick with the same team you choose at the early stages . For those of you who are thinking oh hell i have accent so i cant play using the voice recognition option or oh damn i have this weird speech defect don't worry there is an option to increase the noise that may be in your room making the voice recognition respond to slowly spoken words so you can take your time pronounce good and if you still cant manage to make it ( somehow ) you can always shut it down and go to the same old hit some button bring out menu and choose order from there ( but you lose a lot of the atmosphere that goes with actually controlling a team of skilled soldiers ) , at some points your teammates propose to do something that may benefit you in the fight like throw a grenade or create a diversion or make a smoke screen . But they don't do it until you give the command which gives you time to position yourself at a spot where you wont get hit by a friendly fire ( which is completely possible and very available option in game causing a decrease of trust shall you shoot your pal in the head ). Other than the awesome command system you have a highly good amount of action waiting for you on every corner and if you don't see an enemy for more than 30-50 seconds it's most likely you're not doing something right or you are probably watching a cut scene .

OK so if it's so awesome why do i give it an 8 and not 10 ? Well like everything in this world the game isn't perfect : like you don't have a large arsenal of guns to unload on your enemies and you do not have a big opportunity to explore although the game keeps you busy most of the time so you don't really have much time to explore . And at some point boss fights get a little repetitive ( find the blue spot hoot it some time and move to the next one , cut scene boss blows up ) good part is that they have tried to keep you relatively in motion so you don't have much time to think oh it's the same ol' **** all over again, and also SEGA have tried to put the weak spots at different locations . Other than that the only thing you could complain about is that you don't get to interact with the environment other than hit a few dozen buttons on your way to the end . So in the end the game is TOTALLY worth buying the PC port rocks character responds to every mouse hit or button push so if you ever wondered " should i buy this game " the answer is YES ! Go for it !
