Beautiful, Polished, Fun And Underrated

I'm big into racing games. I'm a huge fan of Forza, Mario Kart, and many others. I've always felt something was missing from them though, and I've never been able to find the perfect racing game for me. Well, that was until recently, when I found Big Rigs: Over The Road Racing. Words can not describe how amazing and refreshing this game is. For one thing, all of the stages are open world. They are some of the largest open world areas I've ever seen in gaming and I can accelerate for hours and hours without hitting any invisible walls. Speaking of collisions, this game doesn't have any! How many times have you ever been winning a race and that one tree ruined the whole thing? Or maybe there was that huge hill you always try to drive up, but can't? Now that doesn't happen! Buildings, trees, street lights, and even guard rails don't stop you, and 90 degree slopes act as speed boosts. It really keeps the races action packed and consistent. One of the things I really liked was the checkpoint system. You don't have to go in any specific order or follow the roads, you can check them off as you please. I think this is a really cool concept that should be utilized in other games. The race track selection is also very large, with a whopping 5 race tracks. My favorite is Night Ride, because whenever you click on it it crashes the game. It really gives a mysterious feeling, and I always wonder what's behind that loading screen. The races also have these super cool action sequences. For example, I was racing on the stage called Forgotten Road, and my truck flew off of a broken bridge and I had to just assume I was driving the right way! It was very suspenseful and probably one of my favorite moments in the game yet. The truck selection is also very unique, as they all have different stats like #D@s(*&-%&)#%*@. What's cool is that the opponent truck doesn't move, so you're always winner. It's very satisfactory and makes me want to play again and again! You'll also quickly find how powerful these rigs are as they can get over 1000 mph in reverse. It makes me feel powerful, and nothing can get in my way, unlike in other racing games where you have to pay in game money for fast cars that can only get up to around 200 mph, and maybe more with tuning. There's also a high score feature, but I can never seem to beat the high score as none of my times have ever shown up. I'm determined to win one day, however. It's too bad the company went bankrupt before many people could experience this great game, as I think the gaming community would benefit from it these days. In conclusion, Big Rigs: Over The World Racing is one of the most open world games I've ever played, and I can't wait to see what other secrets it has in that big, vast, world. Now what are you waiting for? GO GET RACING!
