Adds lots of fun to the Katamari series!
Although I don't have an HDTV, the graphics still look a lot better. There is some lag, but it's not as bad as the older games. The environments are a lot more immersive and have more things to roll up. All of the old cousins are back, with a few new ones.
There are new types of levels that add more interest to the game. You still have the classic levels where you roll the Katamari to a certain size, but there are new ones where you have to roll up things of a certain temperature and the level is finished based on how "hot" the katamari is.
The soundtrack... it's good, but I wish that they had put in some of the old Katamari songs. This Katamari, unlike the past 3 and Katamari Forever, only features new and remixed songs. No songs from past Katamari games appear. But the soundtrack still represents the game fairly well.
One thing that kinda puts the game down is its length. There are only 12 or 13 main levels, and most of them feature the same stages. However, you can buy new stages on Xbox Live, so that's good.
Overall, this Katamari game adds new things to the series, and it is an enjoyable experience. But, hopefully when I get to play the next Katamari game it will fill in some of the empty gaps left from this game....
