Bayonetta's crazy combos, gigantic bosses and overall style make this an adventure worth siting though multiple times

User Rating: 9.5 | Bayonetta PS3
Ever since I first saw this game, I really wanted to play it, but I didn't have a PS3. Now having it, i was crazy to play it, and now that I played, all I can say is WOW.

GRAPHICS:
The game looks really good, with great graphics on a technical level and with great style too, with everything looking colorful and detailed. Cutscenes use the ingame graphics, and that is fine buy me, since it looks great. However, there are some infrequent but noticeable frame rate drops. 4.5/5

SOUND:
The music is pretty good, with great tunes for the levels and other songs, such as the final song, are great catchy. Sound effects are high quality in general, but the voice acting is another story. Bayonetta herself is pretty well done, but other characters are mixed. At times, it is Resident Evil bad, so you'll be laugthting at it at least. 4.5/5

GAMEPLAY:
The game is an action game, more specifically a 3D beat em up. You play as Bayonetta, a witch who has awaken from 500 years of sleep, only to remember she wants to beat up angels. While the story gradually becomes more complex and actually kind of interesting, it turns into a mess towards half way. The gameplay is very similar to the Devil May Cry franchise, as one button jumps, one fires your gun and the other two are used for combos. You can also press the two combo buttons at the same time to do a one hit kill Torture Attack. Beat em ups tend to be button mashers, however, in this game, if you dodge at the right time, you go into Witch time, which just slows down time, and is freking awesome and easy to do, and is really cool that the developers tried to mix the nature of a beat em up. When it comes to combos, EVERY SINGLE BUTTON COMBINATION IS A DIFFERENT COMBO! Erm... what i mean is that there is a wide variety of combos, so you may keep alterning Triangle and Circle to see different attacks. The combat in the game is uber sweet. The combos are incredibly easy to do and satisfying to see, and Witch time add some strategic elements to the game. You can also buy some different weapons in the game, ranging from different guns to different meele weapons such as whips and katanas. The game will range you anywhere from 5-12 hours depending on the difficulty you play and if you watch the cutscenes. For me, it took 5 hours cause I skipped the cutscenes and played in the lowest difficulty. But, since there are a lot of different things to find, other weapons to use and difficulties to play, the replayability is high. One last thing that has to be mentioned is the character herself. Bayonetta is designed to be sexy, and she is. I personally find it since to see developers just trowing in our faces like this. On not so rare ocasions she completely sheds her clothes, to do boss finishing moves, and it looks awesome. This way we also see that she in clothed in her hair, which is kinda weird, but she got rid of her clothes anyway! On the negative side, the load times are horrendous, as they take way too long and even to pause the game it has to load, which sucks. 5/5
