Hello Gamers, Lightsyde here!!
I just finished Bayonetta 2 and I have to say, it's an incredibly awesome game!! I got the Nintendo Switch for my birthday and I must say, as my first time playing the Bayonetta series, I am satisfied and incredibamazed by the game!! Bayonetta just oozes sexy charm and is so self-possessed she's hard to not like. And all cast of the game have something interesting going for them. Enzo gets bullied all the time, he's like Bayonetta's pet. And it's the first time I'm seeing a black game character (the keeper of hell's gate) be so cool in a game. The combat itself is so similar to Ninja Gaiden in all the best possible ways that it's like coming home after a long hard day to a soft cozy bed, with warm blankets made out of the terror of your enemies.
Better yet, the differences are equally amazing!!! I cannot say this enough, but I love, love, LOVE Witch Time!! I mean how can you not like a hack and slash game that REWARDS you every time you make a great evasion? Slowing down time to punish enemies for daring to attack you is a skill that is RIGHT UP MY ALLEY!! And a perfect evasion transforms her into bats? I mean this game doesn't know how to stop being epic!! All Bayonetta's transformations are gorgeous and fun to use - from the Panther for speed, to the crow for flight and the serpent for swimming, the design and executions are like a delicious meal eaten on the clouds accompanied by the music of angels - brilliant. The combat is so fulfilling, the characters thrilling, the designs so enjoyable that I'm VERY sure I'll be replaying this game for a long time, on all difficulties. The only gripes I have is that the story could be better and music is not exciting enough - rather stale for the genre. All in all, if you've been on the fence concerning this game, I absolutely recommend it, especially if you enjoy games like Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden. A solid 9/10
