Battlefield: Bad Company 2 greatly improves as a sequel, offering one of the greatest multiplayer experiences out there.

Simply put, you should buy this game for the multiplayer. Yes, the campaign is enjoyable but it doesn't do anything outstanding, which won't come as a surprise since it is after all, an FPS. However, there is fun to be had. The guys from Bad Company are back, retaining their sense of humour, even if it was turned down and their seriousness turned up, they still are enjoyable to listen to and are great characters that you actually care about. The story is typical; the hero's must save the day from the big bad Russian's and their nuclear weapons. It isn't a bad story, but they didn't do anything to push it into unexplored areas or add a twist to the common plot. The graphics are great and the sound effects are phenomenal. It's amazing what they can do with sound to immerse into the world. One thing that remains to bug me though, is the disappearance of the Legionnaire from its predecessor and I wonder why they decided to exclude him. Other then those complaints, I didn't have any major problems with the singleplayer. When it comes to multiplayer, I have nothing but praise. DICE have obviously put in the majority of their effort in the multiplayer, and this combined with their experience and talents in this field make it one of the greatest places to compete with others in the virtual worlds of gaming. You could easily pour hours of your life into it, as I have more hours clocked in on this baby then any other game I own. I don't have one complaint, besides that it probably brought some of my grades down in school. It's addictive and most importantly, fun. Overall, it's a great, fleshed out game with an improved campaign and a truly excellent multiplayer. Fans of the first Bad Company may be disappointed with some of the changes, but they shouldn't hold you back from stepping onto this battlefield.
