Armored Fury has amazing maps but little else so is it worth the cash?

User Rating: 7.5 | Battlefield 2: Armored Fury PC
Armored Fury is the second of two booster packs for the game Battlefield 2. The first ,Euro force, had heaps of new content in the form of a new army and 3 new maps. Armored Fury only possess new maps and a handful of new vehichles so does it need to have the same price as Euro Force? Normally the answer for a game would be no but the 3 new maps are some of the best you'll ever see.

All 3 take place at various locales throughout the US. The first Midnight Sun is a USMC-PLA map that takes place across two sides of a river. Its fun and combines many of the elements that make the game great. The other two Operation Road Rage, a fight for control of a highway junction and Operation Harvest which takes place in the Pennsylvanian countryside are amazing with heaps of armor and air power and thankfully infantry aren't helpless either thanks to clever use of terrain.

A few new vehicles make appearances as well such as muscle cars and semi trailers which are mostly gimmicks lacking both armor and weapons but the new attack bombers and scout helicopters which act like pilot-able UAVs are useful and fun.

The Bottom Line: The game just barely justified its price but you'll still have heaps of fun.
