I hated this game when I first got it, but now it's a fun passtime!
Like I said, I didn't much care for this game when I first got it. I thought "Wow! I wasted $15 on this crap!!" but I have come to love this game now...
The main reason I didn't care for it was because of how difficult it is. BattleField 1943 would probably go in the list of Top Ten most challenging Online Games... At least for a while, till you get used to it.
The gameplay keeps it simple. It's CTF, but since the maps are so large, they don't make it where you carry one flag to the other side of the map. That would be way too hard. Instead, you go to an enemy base, guard the flag for a while until you've "captured" it. Try and imagine it like Domination from CoD. That's basically what it is, but with more flags, bigger maps, and bigger teams.
The sound is pretty nice. Nothing too too special, but not bad.
I like how (as I said about the gameplay) this game keeps things simple. Same with the guns and classes. There are three classes to play as. Each with strengths/weaknesses. Sniper, Assault, and Rifleman.
Sniper (of course) has a sniper rifle, backup pistol, and a short knife.
Assault has an assault rifle, RPG Launcher, and a wrench, which can be used for either melee attacks or to repair vehicles.
Rifleman has a standard rifle, grenade launcher, and an attached knife to the tip of the gun.
All classes have unlimited frag grenades.
As I said, the game is a little difficult. That's really its only true flaw. It takes a while to get used to it, but eventually (hopefully) you'll get really good at it.
Nice game. If you have anger problems, stray away.
