A game that only SEED fans would like. Not for general Gundam fans cause of lack of mobile suit variety.
The game would most likely play out in the same way the other battle assault games would. It also has 3-D graphics, giving the game a newer, playstation 2 feel. The game features several mobile suits from the CE universe as well as guest stars from the AC and the FC.
However, this game also has notable problems. First, although the game may contain new generation graphics, the game has lost one of the crucial factors that Battle Assault 2 had. Battle Assault 3 lost variety. The selection is to SEED focused. I would have to say that this is the biggest problem in the game. I mean sure the game has a good selection of SEED suits, but what gave 2 fame was it's SRW style of versus combat where you could pit UC vs FC vs AC. Even the guest star units aren't enough to bring the variety that gave 2 its fame. Second, the storyline is also just SEED. In Battle Assault 2, we got stories from the UC, AC, and FC. Overall, the main problem here is the lack of variety.
If you wanted to play a PS2 version of Battle Assault 2, then this is not the game for you. This is a bit of a far cry from it's predecessor in terms of selection. I would only recommend this game to SEED fans.
