Honestly, I never thought I would like Batman in my life. I always thought DC Comics was a joke, because Marvel is so awesome. Batman has one of those amazing stories of an average man with no parents. He must bring justice, and kill no one. In this game, you, or BATMAN, fights by throwing plenty of TKO's. The dark style is amazingly detailed, and every environment of the city is unique and has some kind of symbol in the Comics. The gameplay is unlike any other beat'em up I've played. You feel like Batman as you elbow some punk in the face, then turn around and put your hands on the ground just to full on double kick extend some Joker fool into a wall. Each battle is unique, just make sure you dodge and fight equally. You level up, gain experience, and even new skills and tech to try out. Batman's signature arsenal makes you feel even more like him. Batarangs, Frost grenades, grappling hook, and an encryption device makes the game more than an experience. Sometimes I felt like calling myself Bruce Wayne because he's so human. This superhero is super, no mutated genes or unnatural origin, Batman is a trained fighter, and realistic. I found myself being able to relate with his hate for the bad guys. The story of Arkham City builds off Asylum, so I recommend you play that game first. You are first Bruce Wayne, speaking in front of Arkham city walls because the place is a hell hole. Now your little speech is interrupted by Arkham police and you are taken into custody inside Arkham, which was Wayne's plan all along. You meet Hugo Strange, the ruler of the city. It's organized crime, so anything goes. You eventually escape and become BATMAN. Go buy the Game of the Year Edition now. Rocksteady, Warner Bros., and DC Comics, you people have quite the franchise now.
